Inspirations

About me

Daniela: I've devoted my training in passions which have characterized my temperament since my early childhood, such as an incommensurate love for nature, whether it's outdoor living, plants or animals, that today I express taking lovingly care of a large garden, mine, which calls forth a romantic atmosphere, with its plants and with the style of the statues populating it, and living with two lovable cats, with the cutest and adorable baby-bunny and with two very funny and affectionate geese; the fascination for History which I see as a justification for everything that we encounter in our lives today, for the objects clad by the patina of time; the propensity towards all that pleases and enriches the soul that led me to cultivate theoretical and aesthetic studies, and the love for home that I've always lived like a nest, which protects and must be protected, a nest that welcomes and that must be able to communicate the love of those who live in it to anyone is going to enter it ... Oh, and last but not least is the joy it gives me to transfer in images feelings and moods, capturing moments .. to rediscover ... in a photograph ...

~ THE FIRST LECTURE WHICH, SO MOVED, I HELD

It was such a great emotion, an honour and a privilege to me I won't ever forget. It represented the fulfillment of a Dream in the name of my Love and Esteem for the Charismatic Figure of Elisabeth, Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, and the fascinating period which She lived in, the Victorian Age.

~ SAT. AUGUST 6th, 2016 ~

~ JULY 2017: I WROTE A PAMPHLET ABOUT HI&RM EMPR. ELISABETH'S STAYS IN SANREMO (LIGURIA)

After reading some articles from newspapers dating back to the end of the XIXth century, I wrote with so much love this booklet (obviously in Italian) filled with photographs and paintings of that period.

~ MARCH 2021: MY FIRST HISTORY ESSAY ENTITLED "CROWN PRINCE RUDOLF'S AMERICAN SON"

After more than two years of researches led in several US archives, I was able to bring back to life this story still untold and never written before. It was a hard work, but it was really worth doing!

~ APRIL 2023: I EVENTUALLY WROTE A HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY, "MARIE HENRIETTE VON HABSBURG-LORRAINE"

With this first biography written and published in Italian I'm giving you the chance to deepen the knowledge of a character I've been studying for years, a woman protagonist of the main facts happened to the last Habsburgs which, despite her importance, was forgotten by the ufficial History. She was, first of all, Crown Prince Rudolf's mother in law.

- MAY 2025: "SOPHIE, THE EMPRESS IN THE SHADOWS", THE BIOGRAPHY OF KAISER FRANZ JOSEPH'S MOTHER

It has been passing more than a year since I read her private writings - all the letters of hers that have been published and what is known about her diary - and, on that occasion, I found myself talking to an extraordinary woman. Just her exceptionality, and how little people know about her, pushed me to tell how she truly was, keeping the distances from caricatures imposed by the cinematographic films. This Bavarian princess was gifted with an uncommon intelligence compared with the men of her age, but she was also a kind-hearted, lovable woman, a caring wife, an affectionate mother. And she will adore her "beloved little girl" - thus she nicknamed Sisi - all her life long: to her she will always be the daughter the fate denied her to raise.
